I made this a while ago, might as well post it here! It's a 3D solar system with a free camera so you can move around. Includes the sun, eight planets, a couple stars in the background and the GMZ so you can mess around with it yourself. This was one of my overnight "let's try it and see what happens" projects, and I think it turned out rather well! so what would it look like if you upped the vertex count? (obviously more triangles, stop being a smart butt Dragonite)

You'd probably still notice that everything's not a true sphere, since GM's shading and lighting don't play well together. I know from experience that GM can easily crunch half a million triangles a frame if you limit the number of d3d_draw calls, though, and I'm pretty sure I'm way below that self-imposed restriction, so I might update it if I'm feeling bored one day.
